I'm getting a fairly infamous error, judging from messages on the net: import PyQt4.QtCore RuntimeError: the sip module implements API v8.0 to v8.1 but the PyQt4.QtCore module requires API v7.1. Doing make clean from the newly download sip-4.12.4 did not help. There is no make uninstall.
