[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 70107] New: PPT EDITING: Easy To Crash With Rapid Undo
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70107 Priority: medium Bug ID: 70107 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: PPT EDITING: Easy To Crash With Rapid Undo Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Mac OS X (All) Reporter: andersonm...@gmail.com Hardware: Other Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.1.2.3 rc Component: Presentation Product: LibreOffice Hello, I was requested to post this after complaining on Facebook, haha, so glad to see that LibreOffice is genuinely concerned about product improvement! Basically when I am making a Presentation document, saved as .ppt, LibreOffice will crash extremely easily when I rapidly press undo (command-Z). Not talking dozens of times, like three or four times if I've moved some text around or something minor like that. Then the rainbow spinning ball will take over on the Mac, LibreOffice crashes, and any recent work disappears and is unrecoverable. Not the worst of errors I suppose, but reliable in its annoyance factor... I have the latest version of the software on a 2011 model MacBook Pro running OS X 10.7.5. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68927] FORMATTING: SVG images are converted to bitmap if used as page wide background
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68927 --- Comment #12 from Lance Haverkamp la...@thehaverkamps.net --- (In reply to comment #11) I see it has been confirmed in comment 10. The problem doesn't effect a lot of users at their daily work. So not a major issue. I guess that depends how you use LibreOffice, now doesn't it. No, it has little effect on IT people students writing homework. But for those of use who do a lot of graphics, like newsletters, advertising, flyers, client presentations, etc.; this is an annoyance that's be resurrected far too many times. I think SVG handling has been re-broken every time someone has looked at graphics since OOo 3.3. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

And you could also try 4.1.2.3 that was just released. Yes, I did try resetting the profile and that did not help. As for testing, I'd appreciate if someone already with 4.1.2.3 can confirm whether issue is resolved or not. (In reply to comment #2) Could you attach a PDF of the correct view of this document? It looks very weird. No PDF, I've included an XPS version though, hope that is ok with you. (In reply to comment #3) it seems that a regression happened during 4.0.x and 4.1.x development which has subsequently been fixed during 4.2 alpha stage with backporting to 4.0.6 and probably 4.1.2 I'd prefer to wait till someone can actually confirm 100% that 4.1.2 opens the file succesfully. I avoid Libreoffice deployments, since some are remote sites from the active directory server and installation takes a while. Seems like I'll have to reinstall this time again in less than a week. Not a developer... just a normal user. I have this fairly complicated database and all was going well during its development, until some two weeks ago, when Base started saving the files with 0 to 50kb completely corrupted (its size is, with some records, about 1.2 mb normally).
