Maybe I have to add an extra space here to fix the explicit space related italic correction feature of Linux Libertine G.] mst__ 13.45.40 nemeth, hello do i see it right that https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70666 is fixed only on master but not release branches? any reason why not? mst__: It seems, I have forgot it. (Precisely, I had an idea to change my last patch to add the Graphite Unicode helper function, as in the original code of Martin Hosken, maybe it would be an optimization, but I haven’t done it. I will ask Martin in the issue.) If you are using UTF16, it is still worth using the gr_count_unicode_characters() in case there are any surrogate pairs in the text. If there are none, then the character count is the same as the number of words, but if there are any surrogate pairs then the count will be less than the number of words. In addition, the text reading code is strict about using the number of characters passed in. So if your number is too high, it will try to read beyond the end of the string even if there is a guard NULL there. BTW in case folks are feeling edgy about graphite's speed, there is special speedup code in there such that, for example, if you use Charis with plain old ASCII text, it will execute twice as fast as the new harfbuzz. OK, so to get that kind of speedup one does have to think about about one's gdl, but it's not that hard. And even without the speed up, it's about the same speed. gr_count_unicode_characters() is no slouch either. Yours, Martin Martin, many thanks for your explanation! It seems, OUString of LibreOffice is based on UTF-16, so I will restore gr_count_unicode_characters() call (as I planned), combined with the hyphenation fix. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77233 Priority: medium Bug ID: 77233 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: DrawGradient improvements in OutputDevice Severity: enhancement Classification: Unclassified OS: All Reporter: chris.sherloc...@gmail.com Hardware: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.3.0.0.alpha0+ Master Component: graphics stack Product: LibreOffice DrawGradient has the following issues: 1. There are two functions, one takes a Rectangle parameter, the other a PolyPolygon parameter. Both functions essentially do the same thing, and the code is actually so similar that when I slightly reorganized it the only difference is negligible. See commit Starting to bring DrawGradient functions into line with each other at http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/vcl?id=954d7ad4ea7ec3746b0f0cd3f850a25e82b39c14 2. When you build a gradient, it detects if a metafile is needed. If the polygon is actually a rectangle, we really should detect this and not bother to encase the polygon in XGRAD_SEQ_(BEGIN|END) comment headers. 3. ClipAndDrawGradientMetafile has the option of using XOR clipping. This is not really desirable for a number of reasons. We should probably deprecate/remove this from the code. 4. We have gradient code in other places. Should we move this to the OutputDevice code perhaps? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 77239] New: Other: AutoRecovery does not Work Correct if Document has not been Saved Initially by the User
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77239 Priority: medium Bug ID: 77239 Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Summary: Other: AutoRecovery does not Work Correct if Document has not been Saved Initially by the User Severity: normal Classification: Unclassified OS: Windows (All) Reporter: harald.koes...@mail.de Hardware: Other Whiteboard: BSA Status: UNCONFIRMED Version: 4.2.2.1 release Component: Libreoffice Product: LibreOffice Problem description: Steps to reproduce: [1] Start LibreOffice and create a new text document. [2] Enable option “Load/Save General Save Save AutoRecovery information” and set time period to some minutes. [3] If enabled disable option “Load/Save General Save Automatically save the document too”. Due to bug 76950, you have to close and restart LibreOffice again if you change this option. [4] Crash LibreOffice according bug 75898: (a) Insert table with one row (b) Select all (Ctrl-A) (c) Click Insert Row twice LibreOffice crashes. Recovery dialogue is displayed: The user is informed, that his “files will be saved and recovered next time LibreOffice is launched”. [5] Click OK: LibreOffice is closed and relaunches after some seconds with a recovery dialogue. [6] Click “Start Recovery “: A message is displayed “The file '$(ARG1)' is corrupt and … “. Either the message at step 4 (“save and recover”) or the message at step 6 (“corrupt”) is wrong. Expected: If message at step 4 is wrong, the user should be informed that “the files will be saved and LibreOffice _can_ _try_ to recover them next time LibreOffice is launched”. In this case the message at step 6 is correct without the file name [“$(ARG1)”]. In the other case, if the file is not corrupted the message at step 6 should not be displayed and the file should be recovered immediately. [7] Click “Yes” in order to try to repair the file. Another message is displayed: “The file '$(ARG1)' could not repaired and therefore cannot be opened”. The file name is again not correct. Expected: “Untitled 1.odt”. [8] Click OK and then click Finish. Surprise: Another message is displayed: “The automatic recovery process was interrupted.” What is correct now? Is it possible to recover the file or not?! Either the message at step 7 or at step 8 is wrong. [9] Click Save. A file with the file name “untitled_108odt” without a file extension is saved. Expected: File name should be “Untitled 1.odt”. [10] Open recovered file. The content has been recovered successfully. - The behaviour is equal if you wait after step 4a until the AutoRecovery information has been saved. The behaviour is correct if you save your document after step 4a. I also tested the behaviour if LibreOffice is cancelled by the Task Manager and if the power supply of the computer is switched off. In both cases a recovery is performed, but the document is empty. This is formally correct, hence a recovery information has not been saved. But it does not really makes sense to recover an empty document. See also bug 57142, bug 58588 and bug 66162 which also deal with the recovery process. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75484 --- Comment #9 from Milos Jovanovic mjovano...@gmail.com --- I would like to note that I only changed the Sifr icons. The old (color-ish) ones are still there, and some of them don't look good at all on dark themes. Per Ahmed's note, I've cloned the github repo, and will look into working the light theme in/with the ongoing work on Sifr there. @Foss I (obviously) agree. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76653 --- Comment #1 from thack...@nexgo.de --- Hello Anastasius, *, I think, you should add Enhancement or Feature request to the summary line, as this is something, what you want get added, not really a bug ... ;) If you really want such a feature, you can use a workaround instead: 1. Start Impress 2. Go to Tools – Customize... 3. Change to the register Toolbars 4. Change the drop-down menu below LibreOffice Impress Toolbars to Presentation You will see the entry Start from current Slide there. 5. Select this entry and click on Add This will add the text to your presentation toolbar as well as to the field below. 6. Now select the entry Start from current Slide below the header Toolbar Content and click on Modify. 7. Click on Change Icon... below it. Now you are able to assign an icon to this function and click on it in the toolbar ... ;) Or did you have anything different in mind?
