My bad. Actually, if you download and install the Win2000 version of Toshiba
utility, you can adjust all the BIOS settings there(include display setting)

In win2000, the behavior of power button and lid closing can be directly
configured through Control Panel\Power options.

OK, I tested this and it works great! In simultaneous mode the beamer displays the
PowerPoint files correctly and the CT100 also displays the data. Display is set to

You need to change it in the BIOS ... Win2k doesn't seem to know how to do
this unfortunately. To get into the BIOS, hold down ESC as the machine
boots, it'll flag

The LCD is using a diffuser. Has anyone tried replacing it with a
thin film diffuser to add brightness? MM claimed 65% gain in
brightness but the diffuser is probably cutting at least 40
