Hi Jim,Thank you for inviting the residents of Lincoln’s future generation to help to improve the voting process! There are a lot of talents out there! If this was done with the HCA, I don’t think we will be in this mess of 4 story building discussion in the Lincoln Mall. Thank you for your
Other than contending with the height of the building inside the mall, we have to think about the huge number of cars that come along with the high-end condo owners who live there. Planning board wants to throw a “carrot” of more affordable units to make the 4 story buildings more attractive!
There is a public zoom presentation on Option E tonight (Wednesday) at 7 pm. There is a postcard mailed out to every resident about the zoom presentation of Option E. Everyone is welcome to join! Please do come to learn about how the different options compared so you can make an informed
I totally agree the incremental approach and yet in compliant with the state
HCA! This is a very sensible approach in my thinking also! I think lots of
people would prefer this safe approach to changing Lincoln Station into a mini
city with three story condos as prescribed in Option C.
That is what so beautiful about housing development in Lincoln. I was amazed at the number of condos already existed in the Lincoln Station area. However, this is all about to change under HCA. There will be 3 story condo buildings on Lincoln Road and the rural character of Lincoln will change
Little by little, we are beginning to see the reason why RLF is included in all the options given by HCAWG. Trust and transparency go hand in hand. It is true RLF had done a lot of good for preserving the green space of Lincoln and I think I can speak for all of us that we truly appreciate that!
At our last zoom meeting (10/24/23), Michelle Barnes and all of HCAWG said we
need a vibrant village center and wanted to bring in a consultant to see what
kind of commercial, retail business we can bring into the mall. I asked then
who would be paying for the consultant and she said RLF.
Thank you Sara! So well said! I agreed with you we need to come together as a community to redevelop the mall on our own terms and continue to increase our stocks of truly affordable housing!SusannaOn Nov 10, 2023, at 10:12 AM, John Mendelson wrote:Are you speaking on behalf of the Lincoln

I for one can now say I have been a long time resident since 1977. I live in a simple house on a quiet side street south of the train track, I don’t have a fancy address like some of the people who commented here! I too am grateful for the many hours and volunteer work that town officials have
Thank you David! We should take this letter to every district that is proposed

My last question is
4. What is the harm in taking a look and discuss the many options that the
group had come up and work together that is best for Lincoln?
Thank you for your attention to my questions!

My husband worked at MGH! He too gave up riding the train into work! It was unreliable and it went so infrequently and also expensive! We gave up the idea of living with one car even though we live about a mile from the train station! When we have friends coming in to visit from the city, we
Yes, for sure those units will remain affordable in perpetuity! But I wonder what a million dollars can build! Can we build 2 multi family homes, each house with 4 apartments that the town owns out right and rent them out at true affordable price of 25-30% one’s take home pay?We gave one million
Hi Margaret,On % of affordability, is this the reason why the town paid the developer Civico $1 million dollars? Or is this the reason at one of the recent board meeting that someone said there should be 2 million dollars in reserve (for what)?Hope you can shed some light on this! Thank

Unfortunately, the affordable housing units at Oriole Landing which cost $2,500 per month not including utility and our town paid $1,000,000 to the developer to secure the units to remain affordable in perpetuity is still beyond the reach of many of the people who provide valuable services to the

I also am concerned about selling land off to the developer! Once we don’t own
the land, there is not much we can say or do. I hope our town will tread very
carefully about this kind of move! Lincoln has worked so hard to save our land
from developer and that was how the Rural Land
we come to know and love!

If we look around town, the multi-family we have in town now are most tucked away. They do not hit you in the face as the proposal to the development on Codman Road. I doubt it will achieve the economic diversity people are looking for if the rent is as high as the Oriole Landing! I hope we can

I am a late comer on this. After reading all the discussions here, I too would appreciate an open forum on this rezoning issue! I agree we should leave a mess of dense development of the Lincoln South Station for the future generation to deal with. I personally do not like the

I cannot help but put my two cents in for this discussion. I have been a dedicated teacher almost all my life in the City of Newton which is known for its quality of education. After we have built such a state of the art school for our children in Lincoln, do we have to spend another 3.4 million
