Yes, it's pretty much straight forward if you know

Take kernel,

D/L the 2.4.19 kernel and unpack it to /usr/src
then change the 'linux' symlink to it, instead of 2.4.8
Then unpack the driver source again (so it would be clean install) and run

You are using old sources with newer kernel version. that's why you have

I am asking for Alpha and Sparc ! :-)
I have both and Debianized them. It's really slow to apt-get though (US
mirror)
Please add them if you can.

maybe it has something to do with MPPE ? As far as I understood, you need
mppe enabled pptp and some kernel module ?
please correct me if I wrong.

If anybody (still) knows how to fix this problem of pptp kernel freeze,
please write to me directly as not to allow this list the opportunity to

images ?
In case it's the same image, I think that maybe there some kind of copy
protection that prevents you from copying and fails at the 1-2 last Kb. What
kind of cd are you trying to copy ?
In case it's a different

Hi!
I had a really weird occurence yesterday. My server
froze with kernel freeze and the message stated that what froze it was pptp. It
was not the first time it happened, so I am a little worried here.
Does anyone has such experience or knows how to fix
it ?

can't take the load ? It's celeron 800 with 390 ram.

Alternatively, you can use some kind of perl/shell script that executes in
the post-install stage and changes the SPEC file. Should be easy enough.
