As long as the driver works, I'm happy.

see, I'm using this patch:
http://kipdola.be/subdomain/linux-2.6.38-dvb-mutex.patch
It seems to work for me (had it running with Kaffeine on encrypted
channesl for two weeks in a row)

Never mind. after adding this patch:

tingo@kg-f4:~$ dmesg | grep -i terratec
[ 19.755806] dvb-usb
[ 1449.944046] usb 1-2: new high speed USB device number 6 using ehci_hcd
and there aren't anything created in /dev/dvb.
What am I doing wrong?

Do I need to do anything special to make this driver work?
I just installed the newest media drivers (by following instructions at
http://git.linuxtv.org/media_build.git) on a maxhine running Xubuntu 11.10:
tingo@kg-f4
if the driver works just now,
because currently the driver only supports DVB-T, and I only have
DVB-C.

look like the drivers for H7 are included. I
have now posted a question on the vdr-portal.de forum, I'll post here
if it leads to anything.

Anybody?
If Terratec provided the driver, any support related questions should
be directed to them, not to this list

At least I know more now, even if it doesn't help me. :-)
Thanks!

Ok,
I downloaded drivers for the TerraTec H7 from here: http://linux.terratec.de/
This file to be exact:

make: *** [all] Error 2
So obviously I'm doing something wrong.
How do I install those drivers for the TerraTec H7?
Oh, and best wishes for the new year to everyone!
