Grr, ktime_get() is not accessible during suspend, and thus this patch causes a
WARN during wakeup from suspend. I'll convert the patch to use
getrawmonotonic() instead, sending out a refreshed one soon.

This patch can be ignored. The RX fifo clear logic did not really work for low
C states (C1 / C2) and you would still get garbage. I'll send an updated patch
where I have replaced the logic by an ignore timer for the first millisecond
after clocks are enabled. Also, I forgot v2 out from this.

Hello Tero,
On Fri, 22 Jan
-mode. See
omap
errata 1.164.
This fix can't be done in driver level, as off-mode
entry resets and
enables
the autoidle bit, and driver does not access the
register after each
off-mode
entry even if it is loaded.

One additional comment to this patch, compilation of board-rx51.c fails unless
#include pm.h is added to it. This might be true for other boards also seeing
it has been added to zoom2 at least.

Just an initial comment to this patch, this is somewhat experimental and
I think we should agree what registers will actually be saved here and
what should be left for drivers. CM_CLKSEL4 is for DPLL5 which is used

Hi,
The three patches you sent (fix CONFIG_OMAP_RESET_CLOCKS, fix
dss1_alwon_clk and this one) seem to fix problems I was seeing with
retention.

Hi,
Here is a fix that works on top of your patch. Tested with ES2.1 and
ES3.0 chips. I left out the caching for CPU type.

Hi,
clk_disable_unused (in plat-omap/clock.c) is bugged in latest kernel. It
checks whether ck-enable_reg is zero, and in most cases this happens to
be so (CM_FCLKEN = 0.) Seems to be caused by some late change to
clocktree where enable_reg fields are defined as module offsets, not
register
Just a quick comment to this patch, there might be issues (again) with
OMAP2 as the patch has lived again a bit. So, someone should preferably
test this on OMAP2 before integrating.
This is now a standalone version of the patch and does not require GPIO
patch below to work.

Any comments to this? I have already a new version available of this
stuff where I have integrated the suspend / next state control to this
also, and the file structure modified a bit.
Should this be split into several patches for easier handling or
something? It is getting rather big already (as
These comments should now be fixed in the new version I just sent out.

Hmm, well it should get the value straight from the 32KiHZ sync timer.
Does that get stopped somehow during suspend?
Tony
Timer is not stopped, because immediately after suspend I get
correct value from it (called from wakeup interrupt), but
after this it is reprogrammed by something, or

Hi,
I noticed an interesting feature in the getnstimeofday() function when
used with suspend. System clock is effectively reset to the value it was
just before suspend. You can see this behavior e.g. with this command
line:
date echo mem /sys/power/state date
With approx. 2 minutes

Hi,
Quick counter comments here. :P
This will leave cx-core_state to its previous value in case
of ON state. So just pwrdm_set_next_pwrst(core_pd,
cx-core_state) without if is better.
I did not really consider the logic of cpu-idle code too much, just moved
context / save functionality to
Hi,
A few minor comments based on a quick look.
In terms of the OMAP3 code, is that for retention-idle only,
or does it work with off-idle also?
That patch should basically work in off-mode also, however it requires
correct settings in the padconfig registers which are currently done in
the
Hi,
I'll resend the patch in the following email. Comments below what has

Hi,
This patch currently depends on at least one of the PM workaround
patches from Jouni Hogander. Namely this one:
[PATCH 07/10] 34XX: PM: Workaround to check whether any fck is active
before entering sleep
Sorry I think I forgot to mention this in the patch note. Should we
