I'm trying to program a linux usb driver for a very
simple device. My question is that when I plug in the
device and use "/proc/bus/usb/devices" I get as
Vendor ID= and ProdID=. This power switch is
premanufactured so I believe it should have one

insert the key in a USB port and run the program. Without the key the
program will not run. When I boot directly into Windows XP and run the
program, all is well.

The patch that I posted applies to 2.4.22. It's locat
(back on the mailing list: we want archives)
You don't have to have a mount point listed in /etc/fstab.
The mount command can take care of that if you enter the info.
