True, true. I just wrote a quick Python script that converts a list of 'things' with lat/lon coordinates into a GPX file. The GPX file can be loaded into various mapping tools (including Google Earth) and is understood by http://www.gpsvisualiser.com. I used my GPX file with GPSvisualizer to
