That's why I don't use drum notation maps. Most of my equipment also recognizes note duration, and not only kicks the drum (gates, pitch modulation...) And I guess, it doesn't matter if I move this from drum synthies to samplers. Also the sampler makes a difference in sound (if the sample's awar

Once there was a time where I thought: it ought to be possible to have drum sets which are compatible to each other, making transpositions unnecessary...they just don't exist and I don't care if my bass drum is on C4 or B#6 or Eb3. Maybe you meant the position in score, not the matching note...

There's a fancy feature: hit the keys ;-) Or are you scared of trial-and-error? Normally there's a GM (General Midi) standard for placing drum sounds on specific keys but a) no one cares about GM and normally a sampler doesn't care about anything at all, it's just samples. schoappied wrote: > A

Hi, I'm searching for a way to play drum notation in linux. Hydrogen doesn't seems to have drum notation possibilities and to sync other programs playing the drums in hydrogen is hard. Maybe linuxsampler has a solution? Are there gig drum files? Is it possible to make a drum score in Nted and
