Does the speed of the network card make any difference in LTSP? I will be using mostly open office.org and mozilla, but it would also be cool to use multimedia educational CDROMs. Maybe even VCDs sometimes. I just looked at the MuNAS website and they say that for multimedia you need 100mbps.

I plan to network about 10-20 thin clients. What is the minimum reasonable hardware I should use for the server. Do I need a server as such or can a powerful workstation do the trick, e.g. Duron 1.6 80Gb 7200rpm IDE133 Drive256MB DDR266 ram? I am using K12LTSP v4.0 Fedora core 1

Thanks. I will look in the bios and see if I can increase the memory to the display card. Is there any other way to do it apart from a new display card? I have set the LTS.conf file to Cirrus as I believe this is the card in the box. On Thu, 2004-06-10 at 03:11, Krsnendu dasa wrote: I have

I have the server running fine and connecting thru a client. Victory! The problem I have now is that the mouse connected directly to the server has gone nuts. When I move the mouse it keeps jumping back to the bottom left hand corner of the screen and it selects things seemingly randomly. I have

Can someone advise me exactly how to configure 3Com 3c509 network cards for etherboot. I have downloaded the floppy boot disk, but once the kernel downloads it says that it can't find the isa card. I read on the rom-o-matic website that there is some trick using a special config file, but I
