Sterling, I once approached a luthier to do this and he advised me that the fingerboard shape and spacing was not able to be converted to Baroque tuning. I'm not sure whether this was hard-sell to get a new new instrument, but it did result in a new instrument anyway. Regards, Michael. s

Hi Jon, I used the term (lute) "song" as opposed to "instrumental work". Off course the psalm settings are song settings in the sense that preexisting carols are put to the lute (and often with additional diminuitions). This carols are based on religious texts (the psalms). Usually I am insecure
