To see an issue that has long annoyed me, do the following: 1. In math mode, type "=". 2. Select the "=" you just typed. 3. Choose "Overset" from the math toolbar (alternatively, just type "\overset"). The "=" is put in the "above" box, because that is the first LaTeX argument. From the user
