I copied them from the `gucharmap` character listing application. Many
editors (but not LyX) have a special chars feature where you can select
any character from a table.

enough to demonstrate the problem and either post it to the list or, if

blank rows to tables? I'd say about three extra blank rows in the Open
Doc file for each row in the original LyX document. Even when the
