As for your first question, simply insert ERT and \pagenumbering{roman} for lowercase roman numerals \pagenumbering{Roman} for uppercase roman numerals \pagenumbering{arabic} for arabic numbers \pagenumbering{alph} for lowercase letters \pagenumbering{Alph} for uppercase letters LaTeX resets
