in from another document!

Since yesterday i cannot update the pdf produced by lyx.
My document is a multi-part document with one regrouping all of them.
If i want to see the pdf (via pdflatex) one the current document, it
updates OK, but i do it from the meta document, it doesn't work (altough

I have typed a bit of a LyX document on other computer. After having
inserted on my computer (with copy+paste) what I did on the other
machine, I get very strange characters on math mode (e.g., \partial
appears as @). Is there some way of reparing it?
