I assume you installed MiKTeX, as indicated on the native port page
(http://www.home.zonnet.nl/rareitsma/lyx/)? You will need this for the
native port to work properly, particularly for generating any output.
You should then be able to preview a LyX document by "View, DVI", which
should launch
Does anyone know if Ruurd --- or anyone else --- intends to keep the win32
standalone binary releases of Lyx-QT up-to-date? I realize that it's a
relatively short time since 1.3.3 emerged, but still, it would be nice to
know that an update is planned, if it is.

I downloaded both the port and MiKTeX. I then installed LyX. After
running it, I realized I hadn't installed MiKTeX yet, and installed it.
I still can't view the DVI.
I imagine I have some sort of path issue. Do I have to update the path
manually, or is there a way to test my MiKTeX

Resume is one of the things I use "plain" LaTeX

The resume.sty package seems to be old and does not have a LyX layout.
The CV.sty package is about 10 lines long...
Any suggestion?
I'm not sure if you have seen this but here is something

Fantastic! It works and it is all I wanted!

Hi,
Is there is a way to produce ascii file with no limit to lenght of line
for each bloc text ?
Yes, this is because you installed LyX before MiKTeX. I think this problem
would be fixed by "Edit, Reconfigure". After doing that, shut down and
restart LyX, then DVI view should work.

Add this to your .lyx/preferences file. (If the file doesn't exist,
create a new one.)
\ascii_linelen your_length
Alternatively, use the Preferences dialog
Hello everybody.
I am new to the list, but I have been using lyx since the 1.1.6 version.
Now I use 1.3.3 on a RedHat 9, Qt. I always had a problem when I was
exporting to latex and then reimporting to lyx a particular thing.
Namely, if I insert an inline equation (C-M) and in the box I put

I suspect that you did not enable natbib. Layout->Document->Bibliography (or
extras in xforms). Natbib should break citations.
Jürgen.
All,
Update: I still could not track down the offending lines in my Unix
*.lyx file, so I tried the following experiment. I logged onto my old
Unix machine remotely, running Xwin32. I was able to start a Lyx
session and create a simple one-line lyx file that contained only one
sentence:

Hi,
I just installed Ruurd Reitsma's Win32 port of LyX 1.3.2 (based on Qt
2.3.0), including the extra fonts. The good news is that I've got the
fonts. The bad news is that I'm having a hard time getting certain
symbols (such as element-of and, curiously enough, the equality sign) to
display
