I.e., if your document uses German, English and French, the menu would look ... Set Language > English French German More Languages ... ... Jürgen

Replacing them with exactly what they do is difficult, since biblatex has a smart punctuation tracker. The most easy substitute is the following. Maybe this is sufficient. \providecommand\addcolon{:} \providecommand\addspace{\ } Jürgen

cocoAspell with two languages in a text?
I have an English text with many German quotes. Changing always the language for spell chacking in the lyx settings is very tiresome. Is there another way to let know cocoAspell that is has to change language for spell checking? Maybe it can be done with marking the text with the "language" text style? The text in Lyx appears underlined e.g. lyx knows what ist what language. But how to transmit this knowledge to cocoAspell? Or are there other tips for spell checking of two languages in one text? It would be already very helpful if cocoAspell/Lyx could ignore the other language and not always trying to correct words of the other language. Help would be very appreciated, Peter -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/cocoAspell-with-two-languages-in-a-text-tp4531026p4531026.html Sent from the LyX - Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Jason Waskiewicz wrote: I've been using Tikz graphics in my LyX files for some time now, with success, I might add. Recently, I tried to include sparklines in two different LyX files. An example of what I mean can be found at: http://www.texample.net/tikz/examples/temperature-and-rain-sparklines/ They do not appear. With the first one, I simply exported the file as LaTeX and was able to use it that way. My most recent project is part of a much larger project with many files and the idea of switching entirely to LaTeX sounds like too much work. I like the visual advantages of LyX, but these sparklines only seem to work in pure LaTeX. Does anyone have any suggestions to make it work? If it helps, I've tried this in the Tufte book and handout classes as well as the Memoir class. I've even tried a standalone article class with only the graphic in it. Can I make it work or must I turn to LaTeX? --Jason Waskiewicz Bowman County High School You need to use an absolute path to the data files. I just set up Fauske's example in LyX. After changing \def\temperaturedata{data/temperaturesOslo.txt} \def\raindata{data/rainOslo.txt} to \def\temperaturedata{/temp/sparklines/temperaturesOslo.txt} \def\raindata{/temp/sparklines/rainOslo.txt} (and putting the data in C:\temp\sparklines on Windows) it worked. My LyX file is attached. The problem is that LyX generates the DVI or PDF file in a temporary working directory. It exports the LaTeX version of your LyX doc to that working directory, and it knows to export graphics files that you inserted the usual way, but it doesn't recognize the data files here, so they don't get copied to the working directory -- which is fine if you use an absolute path, but a problem is you use a relative path. /Paul sparklines.lyx Description: application/lyx
Off-topic biblatex question
Dear all, I have been using biblatex for my bibliography for the last year. Now, for a paper, I need to use some references that I have in this bibliography but a problem arises. In some papers that have colons in the title, I had to substitute them for "\addcolon\addspace" and when I try to use these records with bibtex an error is presented. I would like to be able to define, in the preamble of my lyx document, both "\addcolon" and "\addspace" to do exactly what they say, so I don't have to go back and do a search and replace for them. Thanks in advance for your kind help. Best regards. - Julio Rojas jcredbe...@gmail.com
