I am installing Lyx 1.6.9 on a Macbook Air OSX 10.6 . Looking through
the instructions I was dismayed to see that I may have to install the
1.6 GB MacTex package. This machine only has a 64 GB drive so this is
quite a lot of overhead not to mention that the download will take many
hours on my

I am trying to get my shortcuts uniform across three machines. Can
you tell me where shortcuts are stored on a Max? I already know to
use the same bind folder and layout file.

Hello All,
I am using LyX 1.6.10 for Macintosh.
My problem is that I would like my tables to be numbered as
Table section.number
. Therefore, I've selected the Number Tables by Section Module under LyX:
Document Settings, but it does not seem to have the same effect as inserting

Dear Developers,
Thanks very much for allowing within math search in lyx 2.0! I have one
problem which looks like a bug:
The search option works well for in-line maths, but for displayed maths, it
typically does not find the content.
Note: the problem arose both on a Mac OSX 10.6.7 and also on

I'm using Lyx 2.0.0rc3 on Ubuntu Linux. When I create a table, and set the
document orientation to landscape, it shows the table on the screen but it is
truncated on the right side of the screen and I can not get to it to see or
correct that part of the table. It compiles to pdf correctly but

I believe, dear Andrew, this is philosophical in nature. Lyx is based on
Latex, so text is text, independently of how it looks in a PDF. Text changes
its attributes depending on which environment it is included, information
which I believe, would be impossible to get from a PDF via copy-paste.

When I copy text from a pdf to the clipboard and paste into Word 95,
Open Office or Abiword, the pasted text retains underlining, bolding and
emphasis (italics). When I paste into LyX these are lost. It would be a
real enhancement if LyX were to retain these styles. Is there a deep
reason for L
The only way it is unclickable (does this word exist?) is if you are inside
an environment which doesn't allow it. You should be, inside the float, IN
THE SAME LINE as your image. Then it should be allowed.
