what do I have to do to let LyX 1.3.2 find my own examples dir?
Lyx does find templates in ~/.lyx/templates without problems but when I try
to load a example file it goes to /usr/share/...
I tried to overwrite ./preferences but this doesn't help. I think the old
lyxrc istn't in use anymore

True, the browser window will still open somewhere else.. the point is
that you can simply ignore the browse-button and type the name of the
