Thanks for the suggestions; but I can't get them to work. a. after changing lyx's startup directory away from its bin folder, Lyx won't start at all. b. with both BIBINPUTS and BSTINPUTS set, I sill open the navigation at the bin folder. Can anyone confirm that they can get either of these to

Hi, what do I have to do to let LyX 1.3.2 find my own examples dir? Lyx does find templates in ~/.lyx/templates without problems but when I try to load a example file it goes to /usr/share/... I tried to overwrite ./preferences but this doesn't help. I think the old lyxrc istn't in use anymore
