To my eye the default tables produced by LaTex are too crowded, the cells having too little breathing space above and below the cell contents. For an individual table, I can increase this space using the arraystretch command, but what could I add to the preamble of my LyX file so that all

Many thanks to all who responded to my problem. Finally, lyx is working again with Acrobat Reader 7.0. One problem was that I had updated ghostscript to AFPL version 8.51. Big mistake apparently! Reverting to ESP ghostscript version 7.07 seemed cured my problem. Another contributer was a disc
