I am new to Lyx and have no LaTeX experience. I am writing a sequence of Python tutorials in a book document. I tried switching from default book to AMS book because it supports numbered exercises and examples, however in the AMS system, each exercise appears to generate a new section number.

It appears that I am having the same issue, but I hadn't noticed before. It seems that the 'date modified' updates sometimes, but not every time that I make changes. It also appears that when I over-write an existing pdf, the date stays the same as the original as well. The 'accessed' dates are up
