Canadian legal citation
I am looking for a bibliography style to conform to the Canadian guide to uniform legal citation ("McGill"): http://library.queensu.ca/law/lederman/legalcit.htm#McGill http://www.uoit.ca/assets/Section~specific/Current~students/Library/PDF/Library%20Guide%20for%20Legal%20Citation.pdf#search=%22canadian%20guide%20to%20legal%20citation%22 The most important (for me) is books and articles. For example: Author Name, /Title in Italics /(Place: Publisher, 2007) Author Name, "Title in Q marks" (2006) 93 J. Title 28 I don't suppose anyone created one, but how do I start? Thanks, Eran

The savefnmark package could possibly help you: "Sometimes the same footnote applies to more than one location in a table. With this package the mark of a footnote can be saved into a name, and re-used subsequently without creating another footnote at the bottom." http://texcatalogue.sarovar.org/entries/savefnmark.html ftp://cam.ctan.org/tex-archive/macros/latex/contrib/savefnmark Jürgen.

Just for the record, getting the xcolor package was a matter of emerging dev-tex/xcolor on my Gentoo and then in the preamble I wrote: \usepackage{xcolor} \definecolor{green}{RGB}{0, 180, 0} \definecolor{cyan}{RGB}{0, 180, 180} \definecolor{yellow}{RGB}{211,211,0} which was very nice because I could still work using LyX's nice way to sent a font color (no ERT) and get the colors I wanted (which were just a bit darker than the originals). Do you think that I should write this on some wiki for others to have it ? Yes, I think it is worthy to mention that procedure in LyX Wiki. As a side comment, notice that you could have installed the package xcolor directly from CTAN. Paul

Pupeno, You can use the package xcolor and define your own colors. You may want to use agave (http://home.gna.org/colorscheme/) to determine the RGB codes of the colors. Pay attention to the preamble of the attached example. Paul pupeno.lyx Description: application/lyx

Bibtex or bibitem?
Hi, A certain journal requires the references to be included as bibitems in the same latex file as the entire article. What do I do if I already have these references in a bibtex file? Is there a way to "translate" entries from a bibtex file to a specific format and then reinclude them as items in the bibliography? Nice or dirty solutions are welcome. When I think of copying and pasting from the pdf back to lyx and then marking every italic and bold I get depressed. Or maybe I should just submit to another journal? Am I missing some obvious or known solution? Thanks Miki
Footnotes
Hi, I would like the same footnote (affiliation) in two places (authors), but I don't know how to get lyx to do it. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.
