Palatino should have special italic fonts, and sticking should not happen.
Probably there is something wrong with your LaTeX installation, or you
hav added some special LaTeX code that causes the sticking.
To help you further we need a short lyx file and pdf file showing the
problem.

I have two LyX documents: document 1, and document 2.
I would like to make hyperlinks between these LyX documents: a special box
in document 1 which references a part of document 2, such that:

documents, with several diagrams in SVG format. DVI preview/export
works, PS preview/export works. PDF preview and export both fail
