How to get rid of jaggy fonts?

1999-06-23 Thread Felciano, Ramon
Hi -- I've been running LyX 1.0.3 successfully under RedHat 6.0 on my ThinkPad 600 for a few weeks now with little problems (although I haven't gotten the previewing to work, but that's a different story...). The one problem I haven't been able to solve is the appearance of fonts. In general,

Hi -- I just installed LyX 1.0.3 into a new RedHat Linux 6.0 configuration on my ThinkPad 600. LyX is working fine except that it comes up with crazy colors by default (unattractive blues and greens). The text "Failed to share colors. Using private colormap." is printed when the program is

RE: Thesis

Well, I suppose that's a faq: I am evaluating Lyx for doing my Thesis. The major problem I see is that I don't know if I must redo a Layout (wich in fact I don't know 100% what it is, and wich is very complicate?), or For what its worth, I am also very interested in answers to this

Sub/superscript on sums and integrals?

1999-04-22 Thread Felciano, Ramon
Hi -- How do you enter the superscripts for math Sum symbols? I can get the greek sum letter, and use Math-Index to enter the text below the sum letter (e.g. "n=0"), but can't figure out how to enter the text above the sum letter. Any hints? Thanks! Ramon
