I think you can upgarding safely to 1.1.6fix4 and still using the same
document.
I use Redhat 7.2 and the ghostscript package ghostscript-6.51-17.i386.rpm
with lyx 1.1.6fix4 and it works fine since I upgraded to this ghostscript
version.

Maybe the package titlesec does what you want. With titlesec you can
define the chapter and section heading styles.

How can I change the parenthesis to a dot right
beside the number?
Just redefine them both
\renewcommand{\labelenumi}{\arabic{enumi}.}

Is there a way to let Lyx use another xform versions than 0.88?
The rpm says it needs 0.88.
I have 0.88 installed from tar-ball and 0.89 from rpm. Does anybody know how
I can tell Lyx to use the newer one?
Thanx

I tried it (with Lyx 1.1.6fix4 and komascrip class Report) and it works when
I put it in ERT in the document, but not when I put in in the Preamble.
