Hi all
I am writing a document in Afrikaans and the Dutch hyphenation ruloes
doesn't work so well.
Is it possible to set a document on no hyphention?
Is it possible to create a log of hyphenated word that can be reviewed
manually?

Christiaan

I downloaded the rpm file from ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/bin/1.3.7.
Upgraded (as root) with rpm -U
Everything works (had to manually reset KDE's menus though)

Hi All
The followingis an excerpt from my latex logfile. I am writing a thesis
in Afrikaans, which is related to dutch.
Language: dutch 2004/02/19 v3.8i Dutch support from the babel system.
Everything works - headings vref amd so forth but the hyphenation is
wrong. Dutch hyphenation would be 99%

Kghostview is ok but i can't search the text in it.

Hi
I have had some problems with my cross references comming out in the
wrong languages. Uwe had a look at the file and suggested updating tetex
and babel (thanks Uwe). I did it but that didn't do the trick.
In the end I edited the varioraf.sty file which is under
/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/tools
I use Lyx 1.3.4 on SuSE 9.1 with most packages updated. I use tkbibtex
to write my bibliography database and the apsrmp.bst bibliography style
All the umlauts and other accented charachters come out wrong when I
export to DVI of PDF. Instread of an umlaut I sometimes get a something
like 1/4

Thank you Stefano and Uwe
Yes I use afrikaans, english, german, dutch in the document. The
dutch.ldf file look correct, so the problem is not there. If I try to
edit it manually by removing the german in the \documentclass line as
well as all the \selectlanguage{german} bits from the document
Thank you Stefano and Uwe

I am writing a document with lyx using tkbibtex as bibliography database
and the apsrmp format.
Two questions:
1. Some Dutch surnames are two or three words long (e.g. van den Berg).
How do define the all the words as a surname and not as first names or
initials (which is what happens now)?
