Hello,
could anybody tell me the differences (advantages and disadvantages)
between the 'normal' book class and book (koma-script)? I'm currently
using the 'normal' book class to write my thesis.
I'm working with version 1.1.5fix1

I have a complicated letter layout, based on koma-script, basically an
abstraction for a multi-user purpose. It consists of my own document
class, ifthen-structures, and a few files loaded with \input{} at
defined places of the document. What's the best way to translate it
and benefit fro

There is a FAQ: Help->FAQ in modern versions of LyX. Of course, I don't
know if I've answered this particular question yet ...

I realize that my problem seems to be more of a general LaTeX nature (or
Koma-Script nature) than actually a problem with LyX.
Sorry for the bandwidth used here !

Hi,
I am in the process of writing my thesis with LyX (1.1.4fix2 on FreeBSD
3.4) which I think is a great program. I use the Koma-Script-package
scrbook which seems to be well suited for the purpose.
However, I can't seem to figure out how to create an appendix.
Naturally, I read the doc

Well, we have them in our TeX distribution, since I can use scrbook as a
document class in a latex file.
But LyX doesn't

Hello,
I am writing a thesis and it seems that koma-script is what I need to get
preface, numbered bibliography and so on.
I am using lyx_1.0.1 on SunOS. My problem is : all the layouts I need are
in the directory lyx_1.0.1/share/lyx/layouts, but when I choose
Options/Reconfigure, I can see
nt back?
The sans serif headings are a feature of the koma-script classes. You can
get rid of them either by hacking the classes themselves or using a
workaround in the LaTeX-preamble. In case your document would use Times as
the default font, simply put the following line into the preamble:
\renew
t of each
Chapter is now "Sans Serif". How can I get the former font back?
Related Question: Where can I find the Koma-Script documentation
SCRGUIDE about the "Extra Options" of the "Document" ?
My Linux Distribution: SuSE 6.1
Thanks,
Ralf
