Dear all,
ever since I updated from version 1.3.6 to 1.4, lyx cannot display png
graphics anymore; converting to pdf works fine though.
I probably need to tell lyx to convert png files to a readable format,
but how do I do this? which converter can I use?
I use lyx 1.4.0 for mac (MacOSX
proc is not supported because we did not know about it :) What are the
differences wrt article except that it is in two columns?
I don't know. I was just writing an article for a conference using the article
class and had to format the text and the bibliography by hand to a certain
extent,

how can i change the way of numbering the figures?
for example:
not(!) 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, ..., 2.1, 2.2, ...
but: 1, 2, 3, 4, ...
or A, B, C, D, ...
i am using document class book-komascript.

now citations in the text look like [1] or [12, comment]. i want
them to look like (Lorenz, 1963) or so.

I've just found a small but annoying bug and fixed it. So, anyone who
downloaded CJK-LyX-qt-1.4.0-1, should upgraded to the release 2 version at
the same ftp site,
ftp://cellular.phys.pusan.ac.kr/CJK-LyX/qt .

you hinted me at my problem exactly: another version of sh.exe on
my disk was called by the Lyx-Installer - instead of the one
built in the Lyx-Installer. This caused the reported error.
