Thank you all so much! I was almost giving up and returning to manual
bibliography building! After so much time spent on getting these tools
working together, it would be really frustrating.

The critical thing is that the encoding match the encoding of the
output LaTeX file.
I also was finally able to match encodings... It seems that LyX UTF8 and
utf8 are different and that only this last one matches JabRef's UTF8...
Go figure!

Hi,
By bibtex entry type, I mean "article, book, techreport, other, etc..
By bibtex style, I mean, plain, unsrt, apsrev, whatever journal style or
liking fits your needs.
The bibtex style decides what fields will show up. For instance, all article

Thank you so much, again, Miki,
The apacite documentation (I guess that was what Paul, also, was talking
about) was of great help, specially Table1, on page 15, where reference
types and fields are matched. That makes it so much easier to understand!
I suppose that these tools are evolving an

I've selected JabRef as a references manager to work with LyX. I've
selected it after a small web research, but, as I'm a newbie on LyX, I
would like your opinion: was JabRef a good choice or are there better
references managers to work with LyX? I'm on Win XP.
Thanks!

I've been trying to understand how to include DOI and URL references within
bibtex so that they come out properly formatted for APA.
The kbibtex program is very good for keeping references in a bibtex file, and
allows lots of extra functionality, like keeping the DOI and URL references
so you c

Hello,
We recently installed Lyx 1.5.1 on Windows XP box. The installation was for

Hi Adrian,
From my very limited experience, one of the following may be happening:

you did with LyX;
* you've installed aspell, but not the dictionaries that you mean to

Ok, hyperref works fine since the lyx docs have working links after

Then there must be something specific in my doc that causes this err. I
suspect a clash with footnote URL's as hyperrefs or something?

OK, bug found
If an URL contains an anchor # then something inside LyX breaks when using
hyperref!
