I installed 1.5.1 for windows yesterday . It is a vast improvement on
the already good 1.4.1 I had previously. The only thing that doesn't
work is the spellchecker. I have a working aspell installed under
C:\Aspell . In the preferences language settings spellchecker the

found. When I browse for packages to install via MikTex time is not
an option.
By too fancy I mean that I don't seem to get any headers unless I
use \pagestyle{fancy} (i.e. \pagestyle{plain} just gives my page
numbers

I have no clue what this looks like, and perhaps others don't as well.
Maybe you should explain what you'd want, or post a link to an example?

My posts to the LyX list (but no other lists) magically started bouncing a few
days ago, siting a timeout condition on a server at
WIERDLMPC.MSCI.MEMPHIS.EDU. I finally performed a workaround by switching to
another SMTP server
