I've been using custom insets to represent metadata that LyX doesn't natively handle. I'd like this to get rendered when printing or exporting to, say, PDF. The rendering would first take the form of lyx code, so that LyX needn't have too much change. How would I go about making this happen?

Martin, May I ask why you are using \text ? To my knowledge, the \unit and \unitfrac commands automatically ensure that the text is typeset upright. I seem to get the correct output by using \unitfrac without using \text. Then again, it isn't exactly clear to me what output you are looking for.

Lyx 2.05 for Windows can't export any PDF

I recently upgraded from Lyx 2.0 to 2.0.5, and now the software will not make any PDF files. Worse, the editors of the journal I'm trying to submit to will not take plain Latex. Can you help, please?

Martin, May I ask why you are using \text ? To my knowledge, the \unit and \unitfrac commands automatically ensure that the text is typeset upright. I seem to get the correct output by using \unitfrac without using \text. Then again, it isn't exactly clear to me what output you are looking for.
