computer math environment interface in a LyX document? Even if the output
is limited to a code environment, it might be nice for generating a report
of a computation in real time. Maxima (GPL'ed version of Macsyma) is
available.

tried the new feature that lets me drop the filename extension on image
files ('image' instead of 'image.eps') so I can export to PS as well as
pslatex. When I drop the .eps, the images still preview, but they do

believe there is a ps2eps command line program which one could try for
converting ps to eps. Also, I would make sure that the files can be viewed
with gv or ghostview.
