It's duplicating the first column pixel across the entire row. Weird. Like
the first bit is getting latched in and never released.

Yeah I cleaned it too no difference

Reseating the video cable carefully would be something to try.

Cleaning the flux off will not fix anything in itself (in most cases) it just
lets you see the solder joints in that area better. If it were me I would look
at the schematic and see which driver ships control that section of the screen
and give all those joints a good once over.
Jeff
Cleaning didn't help.

Things have changed. "Retro" is now cool; that's part of
Also there are two dead keys x and l both are in different scan rows so I'm
thinking it is the switches themselves I can't seem to test the switches
with a continuity tester and hesitate to try to yank the key caps off until
I confirm they actually come off

When I bought my t200s off eBay they were working units and in the $75
range. Guess things have changed in the last several years. And maybe t200s
are simply deteriorating.
I’m guessing most of the people buying t200s are right here on this list.
My advice about buying behavior on eBay is set
That looks like some flux residue. Use some 90% or stronger isopropyl or
denatured alcohol and a toothbrush/cloth to gently clean it up. It is hard to
tell from the photo but some of those pins do not look well soldered to me.

Yeah, that could use some attention. Cleaning with solder wick and ipa,
too.

The fact that the whole screen clears shows that the LCD is being reset, i.e.
all LCD driver chips are getting reset and clearing each pixel, the default
power on state of each pixel is black. So, this should mean that the LCD itself
is OK, as it can go to both black and clear. A ‘RESET’ goes
Yes well make an offer worked out this time. And I didn't pay 125 for
either of them. An offer is better than "you can fix it" to these sellers
as if they could fix it they would have already. They are pricing these way
too high for not working and no box etc.. letting them know what they are
We need a buyer's cartel or something to deflate these high prices :)
