Subject: New iPhone 5 no sound affects
Hello
Today I got my new iPhone 5 but whilst voiceover is working there are no
sound effects. This is particularly difficult when typing in passwords as

Can you check whether you have the mute button turned on? On the left of the
phone, just above the volume up and down buttons is a flat, rectangular switch.
Push it up (e.g., toward the front screen). If VoiceOver says unmute, you
had this turned on, and that is why you don't have
Is the mute switch up or down. if it is down you will not get any sounds.

Check the hardware mute switch. I'm not sure where it is on the 5, but on the
4S it's on the left edge when the home button is facing you.
