The problem with this approach is, I believe, that it also impacts upon
location services
to Karen.
So by it defaulting to Samantha, it knows where it is.

Actually it's samantha. and no you cannot as far as I know. You are stuck
wight he apple voices which sound pretty good. Some of them even have the hq
or high quality voices but those you need a wifi connection and you need to be
plugged in as they are about 300 to 400 mb a piece.

Apple does not support third-party add-ons for its voice platforms on iOS.
Unfortunate as it is, you're stuck with what you got.
