It sounds like his phone was not removed from his iTunes account. The one he
gave to his wife. I believe the process that should have been taken was to
remove it from his account and restore the phone to original status. Also
remove it from find my IPhone if he uses that. Then his wife could

Think it should be bump ons. These normally refer to small tactile
self-adhesive plastic button which can be affixed to many things,
including keys on keyboards to help people identify where certain keys or
other items are.
