I began with ML from late 2012.
I updated the software for my ML 10.8 on my Mac mini tonight. Then I tried
to open my mail ap only to get the message that this version of mail does
not work with ML. the ap would not even open so I could check the menu to
see if there was a separate menu
There isn't, occasionally, Mail will ask to be updated but you just need to
click continue and this takes a few seconds.
It is often worth running a Disk Repair and/or a Permissions repair before and
after an update as sometimes, things can get a little messy.
This is from memory, so i hope
Hi Laurel
One of the many shortcomings of VoiceOver in this app unfortunately. When I've
had this problem in the past, I have interacted with the body, rooted the
mouse to the area with VO+Command+F5 and then physically clicked the mouse.
This has always fixed the problem for me if I remember
Actually, you go to the disk utility, Which is in the table that first appears
when the recovery thing launches, then click continue, and it somewhere in
there. I think under first aid.

I wanted to thank James for explaining how to repair a disk, this is a handy
thing to know. however, in this instance, my husband found an easy fix. instead

That's interesting… I didn't think you could delete programs that were required

Hi Lovette and Others,
I went to the blindhow.com web site and listened to and then downloaded one of
their featured audio programs on Siri with iOS 6 (from September 2012).
Here's what worked for me:
1. Bring up links chooser menu (VO-U) on the web page with the audio program

Hi Gang:
I am trying to connect a Brailliant BI 40 to an iMac via bluetooth.
Although the computer reports that the display is paired, it also reports
that the display is not connected and there is no data being sent to the
device.
Any help would be appreciated all over the place.
Hi Cathy,

files that are open at the time you run the repair operation, so for really bad
problems running a Disk repair from the same system

Dear Lynn,
Thanks for this workaround. It isn't ideal, but I'll give it a try and hope for
the best. I remember a previous trial version of Bento I downloaded didn't seem
to have these problems. I guess software is mysterious.
Yours,
Zack.

thank you Ester. your posts are always very informative. I believe I will need
to study this subject a bit and read the suggested maintenance information.
better to know it now then to wait for a problem and not know what to do.
