You can find an
double tap and hold on the app until you hear 3 ascending tones, double tap the
app and then confirm. Hit home to get out of this mode.
Take care.

You will actually have to double tap and hold the second tap until you hear
a little try tone. Then you can double tap to delete. Be sure to flick to
the right to choose delete. Hope this clears thing up.

Do I do all of this on the icon of the app on the main screen where
all the other apps are? And do I double-tap and hold, and double-tap
and hold again and flick? I'm confused. Thanks.

Matt,
The process is as follows. Double tap and hold while VoiceOver is focused on
the app you want to delete. Your finger can, but doesn't have to be, on the
actual app icon while you do this. Once you've done so, you'll hear a brief
three tone sound. At this point, double tap again, assuming
No. from the home screen,
1. double tap and hold on the app you want to delete until you hear 3 ascending
tones.
2. double tap the app again but don't hold. This is the same jester for opening
an app
3. a dialogue will come up saying do you want to delete this app?
4. double tap confirm
Hi, All. Thanks for the help. I got rid of Skype, which was giving

Can you move those to another folder, if you don't want those original apps
on the home screen, or do they have to stay there?
Take care,

Sure you can, I've created folders for some of the apps I use less often, like
the camera and photo viewer. The process is identical to creating folders for
third-party apps.
Best,
Zack.

Hi Brenda, if you're asking if this can be done, yes. However if you no longer
want the apps, it's best to delete them instead of just moving them into
folders, because they will still take up space on your device.

I thought they said you can't delete the apps that Apple put on the phone. I

Yes, they did, and the same caveats apply to them. You can move them into a
folder somewhere, but not delete them.
Best,
Zack.
