Good morning.
I have a USB floppy drive made by VST for my Tibook (system 9.1). It's
stopped recognizing properly formatted 1.44 disks that it had no trouble
reading in the past. The message is that the disk is unreadable and asks
if we want to initialize; but the disks work perfectly in my

This may have been covered before if Netscape is responsible.
When data is transferring, my mouse pointer flickers and changes into the
Norton AntiVirus shield. This is a quirk I can live with if it

The Netscape version is 4.7.
The disc activity is happening on one page that I access frequently, and
which I am using now as a test. The default cache allottment in Explorer is
10MB, so I have raised the Netscape allottment from 7600kb to 1kb. This
has not
