Something's screwy with my computer. Folders with strange characters like these for folder names A^Pe^?o`??'?~a|e^y?A~e^~u`??' keep appearing in my system folder. I can trash them and restart but then others appear. Strange things happen when these appear, for instance I could not hide

Bill, Thanks. Folks the link sent by Bill offers some very interesting reading. If you Have an Epson Twain driver this occurs in tandem with Photoshop. I opened my preferences in a window, opened Elements 4 and 4 of these mysteriously named folders eerily showed up. In the words of Charlie
