How does one cancel playing music on iTunes? As far as I can tell it just
pauses. Sometimes when I reopen iTunes, it starts up playing right where I left
off when i clicked on the pause button.

I am on version 10.1.4, OSX 10.6.5 I have never encountered what you are
describing, to play or stop you click on the play arrow in the upper left
corner of iTunes, click the arrow to stop, or use the spacebar to stop and
start. I quite iTunes in the middle of a song and reopened
