the folder mail could not be opened because you do not have sufficient access privileges  is the exact message.  yes, i have leopard.  There are two mails in the finder - one does nothing and the other gives the above message.  Can I reinstall mail from the Leopard CD? - Original Message

This usually can be fixed by opening that folder's Info panel (highlight the folder and press Apple-I, or choose Get Info under Finder's File menu) and making sure that the currently logged on user has read write permissions for that folder. You may also need to apply those permissions to
