The next day after I submitted the pull request, I updated machinekit and
the messages that I had fixed were no longer there, but there were some new
ones. Things that I had missed. So I found them, fixed them and submitted a
new pull request.
The next time I updated machinekit, the old
So I have been looking into the configuration a bit more. Looking at
various config files I have decided that the simplified version of my
machine is a SCARA robot on it's side.
I have subsequently found a .ini file for a SCARA robot

Please keep replies on-list.
For pick-and-place, there are a few open-source projects working on
solving the problem, such as OpenPNP:

Often, the "back-end" performing the motion does use gcode.

Looks like the posts all got tagged as spam by Google, and for some
reason took a while to make it to the moderator inbox.
Lots of backlog should be appearing soon, and future posts should be
allowed without getting flagged.

Ok, thanks Charles!
I got all development tool working now, I had to (re)compile the all
machinekit directly on the BBB in the end but it is working now.
You may also want to look at the timer/capture modules, both in the

FYI:
The BeagleBone-AI may be a good fit for your project:

It should do machine vision _much_ better than the BBB. It's
basically the SoC from the X15 in a BeagleBone form factor. I'm

I will try temperature sensor to understand the problem. Thank you for that.
But ı dont understand 'conventional' means, are you trying to say that problem
is about Ngcwriter program output or cura? İf so, do you have any suggestion
about conversion(gcode to mcode)?
