Hi everyone,
I've still been having my mac for only a month. yes, the switch is
most welcome and agreeable to my needs. And i have a question about
the mail app which has been probably answered a thousand times but

Hi Jon,
I just tried it. I have no trouble connecting the Stream on the Mac

Anna,
Have you tried with the new OSx upgrade? There were some fixes for
this type of issue supplied with it.

Hi Chris,
Were you able to find out anything from your Humanware connection
about why the Stream has trouble connecting to Windows on a Mac
running Fusion?
Thanks a lot,
Anna

Hello All, here is one of the rare occasions when I feel it is
absolutely a necessity to post an off-topic note to these lists, as I
believe this is truly of the utmost import to the blind / VI community.
the below article / plea is by Bernard Maldonado, of The Solona

Actually the same doesn't apply on the IPHone; on the IPHone, the
screen curtain apparently does diminish the screen brightness to 0,
whereas on the MacBooks / MacBook Pros, it does not…

Hello folks.!
I just wonder if anyone of you have tested and played some of the games
on Facebook on the Mac.
If so, it would be interesting to hear what are accessible, great and
fun games.
I can begin with Mob Wars. It's an accessible one.
The bad thing with MW is that it gets kind of boring a
Right, that's the set up. Sorry if its not quite list appropriate. I'm not
sure what I need to do to make this all work on my Mac thus the post to this

Hello,
VoiceOver has always included the nifty feature known as Screen

in Snow Leopard.

Hi John,
Thanks a lot for that tip. I hope it is the alert that is causing my problem. I

Yes, go to www.seretalk.com and select #20 which contains a Navigon
discussion. One of the other podcasts from them contains some
prelinimary talk about it but it is pretty superficial.

Doesn't Humanware have some new thing that does use Sendero? Also, I
think their GPS solution for the BrailleNote family is Sendero based.
I didn't know off hand what Trecker used as I find it to be a fairly
peculiar hybrid solution that I could never quite understand. If,

Thanks for that. Does anyone know if the Skype contacts can be
accessed using VO on the phone? Does Fring use the same set of
contacts and the Skype API?

Hi Robert,
Try opening the Window Chooser Menu (VO-F2 twice) and look for an
alert waiting for your accept. It may appear if you change more than 5
% of the content on any device.
If you find it there, and accept, everything should complete just fine.
HOpe this helps!
Take care,

I tried Skype on the iPhone and found that I could not get into the
list of contacts in order to make a call. My sighted wife looked at
the screen and, with VO running, she couldn't figure out how to pick a
contact either. I think someone on the other VO list suggested a
program that rep
Hello and hej Krister,
Yes, I have also tested th Iphone twice and I have also read the manual so
hopefully I will manage it. But it looks real promising!

Hi,
Once again, it was my own fault as I did another completely boneheaded
thing. The iPhone documentation says that the Home key, "shuts down
the running application and returns to the Home screen." After
hanging up from my call (two finger double tap), I hit the Home key so

I wanted to sync my contacts from my Nokia N82 phone to my mac

Hi,
They do indeed. Apple call it a screen curtain. To enable it, hit
VO-Shift-F11, and the same keystroke will disable it whenever you need
too.
It's worth knowing that the screen curtain doesn't as far as I know
save battery life. For that you'd need to use FN-F1 to dim the
brightness to 0%

I wanted to know if the macbook laptops have a veil like the iphones

It would be great if i can just work on my stuff without someone

I too have taken the plunge and pre-ordered an Iphone. Unfortunately,
they seem to be out of stock in all of Sweden so now the long wait
