Hi Cheryl, I haven't experienced this myself, but I think I may understand what they mean. Basically, reading any app with Voiceover is fine. The problem must be when other apps try to speak using the system voice. Visiovoice was just their example of the kind of app they were warning against.

Same here. I ran the Jaws installer a second time and did the repair option but no such luck. I guess the positive bit is that I had the same problem on a real Windows 7 32-bit box so the virtual machine is emulating that bug correctly :) I had Jaws 13 installed which I uninstalled on VMWare

Hi Alex, Which keystroke are you using to turn on musical typing? From what you described, it sounds like you brought up the keyboard window instead of turning on musical typing. Command-K shows or hides the keyboard window, while Command-Shift-K toggles musical typing. Hope this helps.
