Hi,
VO-c will read the column header. I think that the limitation is with the
specification of the header row. If I'm not mistaken, your header rows must be
the top most rows. So, rows one through five can be designated as header rows,

Hi Dave,
Within a given spreadsheet, you can have numerous sheets, and within each

I think I need just a bit more “under the hood” definition. You both say that

not. I am having a problem (typical engineer that I am) wrapping my head around

Hi Dave,
I get it now. The problem arises from the way that Excel is laid out compared
to Numbers. Notice that the Column headings such as A, B, C etc are handled
differently in Excel and Numbers. In Excel, you can move one row up and read
the cell reference letters pertaining to the column

Hi,
Not sure what settings are "negatively" affecting your Mac. Sorry for the pun,
I couldn't resist. Anyway, if I use arrow or tab navigation in Excel, the cell
reference is announced. That is, VO will say "23.5, E7". I can also press
VO-r or VO-c to have VO announce the row or column that

Great concept. If there isn’t such a thing there should be. Currently I use a
tripod stand for the iPhone when I need to do things with hands-free such as
accessing a keyboard while someone reads the contents of a screen or a document.

I mean, it’s Apple. There are other options available, like Downcast for
Podcasting, and Emacs with Emacspeak for reading ePub books. Apple is meant to
be easy to use, good for people who just want to get stuff done, whether it be
on iOS or macOS, thank goodness.

250 dollars for a case is also over the top.
I picked one up yesterday for 40 which does the same job

I think one problem may be that you’re still thinking in terms of jaws and

Does it go well with a smellie cheese?
Yeah apple have really gone to town on their colour chart,
I’m not sure I ever heard of or saw these colours before I went blind.
Oh well, I’ll keep looking for a nice coloured case.
