I haven’t noticed that specifically. But I did have one weirdness. I wasn’t able to change VoiceOver volume with two finger tap and swipe. I turned off the watch and when I turned it back on everything work properly. Sent from my iPhone > On Sep 18, 2018, at 06:13, Simon Fogarty wrote: > >

Apple TV Amazon app?

2018-09-08 Thread John JD Denning
Hello all, I have an Apple TV fourth generation, and the Amazon app. Whenever I start the Amazon app the voice changes completely. Totally different voice settings, and it Hass to tell me how to use the app. And there is no way to shut up that preamble. At least that icy. Does anybody know,

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is make sure you don’t have any filters active. If you’re doing any filtering you can’t type in there. Turn off the filtering and you should be able to. Sent from my iPhone > On Feb 17, 2018, at 14:29, Brian Fischler

2018-02-16 Thread John JD Denning
Are use dictation quite a bit. Every day. On my iPhone as I’m doing now, and out on my HomePod. And I have very, very little problem with it. Sometimes when Siri fumbles, I know it’s because I did. I’ve not done any, editing on this message. It’s all straight dictation. Sent from my iPhone >

2018-02-16 Thread John JD Denning
Well, congrats on the HomePod. If you’re in the Apple ecosystem as I am, I think you’ll really like it. In fact that’s probably why they’re urging people to take it home and give it a try, many more are liking it then not. Are used to use my AirPods for listening to podcasts while I was

Re: 3-Finger Quadruple Tap

2018-02-15 Thread John JD Denning
The reasonable solution from Apple would be a verbosity setting that doesn’t read element labels. There are times that I would turn the reading of them off. Like reading lots of emails that I just want to read from start to finish and they have so many tables just to place their graphics in. I

Hi, what are you do is either delete anything extra after I paste it. Or if that doesn’t work for some reason I’ll go through the extra step of first pasting it into just a note, so I have a text, and then delete the extra characters there, and then re-copy just what I want. I don’t think

Recipe apps and sites?

2018-02-02 Thread John JD Denning
Greetings all, for years I enjoyed using the all recipes website and app. I particularly like their app on my iPad. But that was when I had a lot more eyesight. Now using voice over their new app really stinks. It’s not fun to use at all. Lots of unlabeled buttons and links. Is anybody

Reference books for Apple accessibility?

I’d also be interested in such a tutorial. As well for other apps and just the OS with voiceover. I’m using my Mac and getting things done. But I really would like to learn more and be a power user. I’m speaking up to Torio specific to voiceover. I’m down with the Mac. Sent from my iPhone >

I see what you mean about following the message. Thanks for sharing that. So is Apple admitting that there is some bug, or unexpected behavior that maybe they will resolve the future update? When I use Numbers, I constantly have the cursors lose each other. So I have to do voiceover at five to

Re: Is There a Bug in the Watch OS Timer App?

2017-12-27 Thread John JD Denning
Interesting, I’ve never experienced any such problems with the timer. And I use it daily, often multiple times a day. The most common way that I started though is with Siri. Though I have done custom timers and selected one of the already pre-defined timer buttons. Good luck on tracking that
