Mac Mail in Mavericks

Having used Thunderbird under Windows, I would like to use the same layput in Mac's Mail app. With 4 email accounts, I would like to open each account and view its own inbox, sent and so on, not as a unified setup as it is now under Favorites, Is this possible? From The Believer. . .

Hi, You can move the specific InBoxes you wish quick access to into the Favourites bar. The beauty of this is that the order of things within the Favourites bar corresponds to keyboard shortcuts. That is, the first mailbox in the Favourites bar can be accessed with the keyboard shortcut

Tim and Alex, Thanks for the input. Is it possible to just forget Favorites and work with each account by itself? The Thunderbird setup works great for me. TB does have an option to unify all accounts which I never enabled. I was working with Mail today and trying to come to grips with
